BittyBig Upscale Consignment

“We firmly believe in the magic of second chances—for kids, clothes, and expecting parents alike,” says BittyBig Upscale Children’s Consignment co-owner, Amber Edwards. Best friends and mother-daughter duo shop owners, Amber and Lanita Plunkett, value family and new beginnings.

“Family is the driving factor behind starting our upscale children’s consignment store. To us, this means everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed in life. Our commitment to supporting local foster families reflects this belief. We participate in their events to help raise funds, donate unsold inventory to foster services, and offer discounts to foster families,” says Amber.

Through BittyBig, the pair aim to provide all things kids to the community’s children, making a positive difference in their lives and fostering a sense of belonging and opportunity for all.

The Edwards/Plunkett family is a big group that includes five children, 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, with five of these members being three years old or younger. “Despite the craziness that comes with having such a large family, we cherish our frequent family gatherings. This strong sense of family and togetherness is what inspired us to start our store. We wanted to create a place that embodies these values and supports other families in the community.”

BittyBig is truly a place where the whole family can shop and have fun. “One area of our store that parents absolutely love is our play area. We have cartoons playing, a toy kitchen where kids can cook up the meal of their dreams, and plenty of toys to keep them entertained. Moms and dads can shop while knowing their kiddos are safe and having fun. Parents love this feature so much that many kids must be carried out kicking and screaming because they don’t want to leave,” adds Amber.

After doing some research and discovering that there were no upscale children’s consignment options within 30 minutes or more of Bryant, Amber broached the idea to her mom Lanita, who eagerly replied, “Let’s do it.” The entrepreneurs recognized that Bryant is an up-and-coming community with many young families and realized a real need for a shop like BittyBig.

BittyBig opened in March of this year to a tremendous response from the community. “We’ve only been open since March 2025, so we are still in the learning phases. However, we’ve had the best consignors and customers who have grown with us.”

The pair started with a small store space, not knowing what to expect. Now, just eight months in, BittyBig is excited to announce that they are moving to a slightly bigger store just a couple suites down from the current location. Amber is confident that the new space at 3519 Market Place Avenue, Suite 100, in Bryant, will help to serve their amazing consignors and customers even better.

“Our consignment store is a treasure trove of gently-loved, high quality children’s clothing, toys, maternity wear, and gear. We curate each item with care, ensuring that every piece you find here is ready for its next adventure with your little one,” adds Amber. In addition to finding the perfect item for your child at a great price, consignment stores provide sustainable shopping. “By choosing to consign, you’re supporting a more sustainable world, one little outfit or maternity dress at a time.”

Consigning with BittyBig is easy! Bring your gently-used, pre-loved items and the staff will take it from there. BittyBig sales associates are experts at setting attractive prices. When your item sells, you receive 40%.

Bitty Big will keep your items in the store for 90 days. Items will be marked down 50% after the first month and 75% after the second month. Consignors simply bring their items to the store, following the set guidelines to ensure safety and quality, then wait for the items to sell!

All clean and gently-used items must be delivered in a box, bin, or basket, laid flat with all buttons, zippers, or snaps fastened. Toys and gear must be in working order and ready to use. “We will be selective about the clothing items we choose to consign. Our policy is to accept only upscale brands in order to provide high-quality products and shopping experience for our customers.”

As Amber and Lanita navigate the intricate world of retail, they are fueled by the belief that every child deserves the chance to dress in style without breaking the bank. “Whether you’re looking to buy or sell, we welcome you to join the BittyBig family. Together, we can create a sustainable future for our children and support parents through every stage, one delightful discovery at a time.”
