Archer-Knight Health

Downtown Benton has become a central destination for residents and visitors alike, offering a range of shops, restaurants, and professional services. The area’s charm is reminiscent of a Hallmark movie, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. Now, the community can also rely on downtown Benton for their healthcare needs with the addition of Archer-Knight Health & Wellness Medical Clinic.

Archer-Knight Health & Wellness, which will soon be celebrating its first anniversary, was founded by nurse practitioners Jessica Archer and Katherine Knight. Both Saline County residents have come together to offer local access to quality healthcare. The Clinic provides personalized primary care and wellness services for patients ages eight and older.

The Practitioners:
Experience and Dedication

Jessica and Katherine bring extensive nursing experience and a hands-on, patient-focused approach to their Clinic. Jessica’s background includes caring for residents in long-term care and serving as a regional clinical manager, where she trained nurse practitioners in facilities across Arkansas, Texas, and Mississippi. Katherine’s career began in an internal medicine clinic, where she cared for chronically ill patients and helped them maintain their quality of life.

Both practitioners are deeply motivated by their patients’ loyalty and well-being. Their families and spouses have been instrumental in supporting their professional and business goals, allowing Jessica and Katherine to pursue their dreams.

A Clinic with a Personal Touch

The Archer-Knight Clinic strives to offer a welcoming environment where patients feel genuinely cared for. Its founders are dedicated to building meaningful relationships with their patients and take pride in delivering individualized care. Services include primary care, sick visits for patients aged eight and older, hormone testing and hormone replacement therapy (HRT), weight loss programs, and Botox treatments by appointment.

Jessica and Katherine’s vision for independent, patient-centered care inspired them to establish the Clinic in downtown Benton. They chose the location for its accessibility, central placement, and the warm sense of community it provides.

The Clinic stands out through its commitment to individualized care, accommodating same or next-day appointments for sick patients, fostering healthcare partnerships, and ensuring ample time with each patient.

Challenges and Advocacy

Operating as nurse practitioners in Arkansas comes with challenges, including restrictive state regulations and low insurance reimbursement rates. These obstacles make providing care more complex, but Jessica and Katherine remain dedicated to advocating for their patients. “Our patients are worth fighting for,” Jessica affirms.

A Shared Journey

Jessica and Katherine’s professional paths have been intertwined for years. Katherine served as Jessica’s instructor during her LPN and RN studies, and later became her preceptor when Jessica pursued her nurse practitioner license. The two worked together at Saline Memorial Hospital, and their mutual admiration and respect led to their partnership in opening the Clinic.

Katherine attended Baptist School of Nursing in Little Rock after graduating from Benton Senior High School in 1990, choosing to remain close to family and friends. Inspired by her parents and a lifelong desire to help others, Katherine worked at Saline Memorial Hospital for 27 years, serving in roles such as charge nurse and House Supervisor while pursuing further education.

After earning her licensure in Adult Gerontology Primary Care, she worked at Saline Internal Medicine Associates for seven years and later practiced independently. This experience fueled her desire to provide care tailored to her patients’ needs, ultimately leading to the founding of Archer-Knight Health & Wellness.

Jessica credits her husband, Cody Archer—also a nurse practitioner—with being a driving force in her career. His encouragement helped her persevere through the challenges of NP school while managing family life. Jessica expresses deep gratitude for Cody’s unwavering support, which enabled her to achieve her professional goals. She also draws motivation from her two sons, Grey and Knox. Their support and the example she sets for them inspire her to persevere through challenging times.

Katherine also acknowledges the crucial role her husband,  Matt Knight, has played in making the Clinic a reality. His support behind the scenes has been invaluable to the success of Archer-Knight Health & Wellness.

Everyday Motivation

Jessica and Katherine are motivated daily by their patients. The smiles and appreciation they receive reinforce their commitment to providing exceptional care. Patient feedback, Jessica notes, such as, “I truly enjoy coming here,” makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Looking ahead, Archer-Knight Health & Wellness aims to continue growing alongside downtown Benton while remaining rooted in its mission of compassionate, accessible care. Jessica and Katherine hope their Clinic will serve as a trusted healthcare home for families throughout the community. By blending professional expertise with genuine connection, Archer-Knight Health & Wellness is redefining what local, patient-centered healthcare can look like, one meaningful visit at a time.
