Three generations and going as strongly today as it did when Pat Baker first opened Baker’s Jewelry 33 years ago in Warren, Arkansas. That’s the sign of commitment and personal service you’ll receive when greeted by Pat, her daughter, Carla Baggett, or her granddaughter, Madeline, at Baker’s Bryant location.
“People drive hours away to visit us because they want to work with someone they trust,” Baggett said. “We are a Christian-based business, and we’re blessed to have that business continue growing each year.”
The Baker’s tradition started with Pat in Bradley County in 1981 as one of the finest jewelry stores in southern Arkansas. Ten years ago, she closed the doors there, relocating to Bryant to expand her business and include Baggett and her granddaughter. The three have never looked back.
“It was a huge deal when she said, ‘Warren. I’m closing down,’” Baggett recalls. “She knew her customers and knew what they needed. She was so sad leaving friends of 25 years.”
Now, with the holidays just around the corner, Baker’s is looking to possibly share the holiday spirit with their loyal customers. All you’ll need to make a purchase for the holiday season and then cross your fingers for Mother Nature to do the rest.
“If our customers make a purchase between November 28, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve, and it snows three inches or more on New Year’s Day, everyone gets their money back (minus sales tax),” Baggett said.
After all, it is the busiest shopping time of the year, but with a little luck and a little snow this could be one very special Christmas for the customers at Bakers Jewelry in Bryant.
