Serving Saline County for the past 12 years, The Skin Bar, led by owner Kristi Sims, is a full-service spa offering not only relaxing Facials and Massages, but Laser Services, Injections, Infrared Sauna, Waxing, Lash Extensions, & Hair Services. From the moment you walk in until the time you leave, your well-being is their number one priority.

Personal experience led to Kristi’s present-day passion. Kristi suffered from skin issues, both as a teenager and into her adult years, which led her to research everything about skin. She was a patient herself at various skincare clinics and dermatologists in search of remedies for better skin. This led her to esthetician school to learn her craft, where she became a licensed esthetician for several years before deciding to strike out on her own with The Skin Bar.

When asked what sets The Skin Bar apart from other similar businesses, Kristi explained that some spas can feel intimidating and her goal is to create an inviting, relaxing atmosphere while offering a wide range of services.  She was excited to announce, “We just added PRP, PRF Filler, Hair Restoration with plant-based Stem Cells, and even a non-surgical butt enhancement with Sculptra.” Wow! You can truly create a whole new you!

Voted “Best of the Best” consistently within the community, The Skin Bar is undoubtedly a favorite in central Arkansas. Kristi loves being a part of Saline County and serving her community. “I love this community so much and have met so many amazing, giving people in Saline County, and I try to donate to every charity, from local schools, Non-Profits, Food Banks, Civitan, Abba Adoption, to The Boys and Girls Club, and other worthy causes. We most recently have started doing services at no charge for those who need to have scar revision treatments or tattoo removal for job requirements, et cetera” Kristi says.

She attributes the success of The Skin Bar to her amazing clientele and staff, many of whom have been with her from the very beginning. Kristi’s motivation comes from knowing that her team loves their jobs, primarily because of the amazing clients they serve. “They are so skilled and talented and want every person to have an incredible experience at affordable prices. The goal? For them to feel much better leaving than when they arrived.” 

Kristi admits that building a business can be difficult, and although mistakes have been made along the way, she has not given up. She has learned so much and simply uses “The Golden Rule.” “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” It’s the perfect motto that has kept her business growing and loyal customers coming back again and again. 

When asked if she would like to mention anyone who has been of value to her along the way, she replied, “Of course, my clients who have stayed with me from the beginning! My staff who bring the best of skills and talent. And lastly, I would like to thank sweet Becky Talbert for not only being a loyal client to me for 13 years, but always being an encourager and prayer warrior. She has always prayed for me, and I am forever grateful.”

Kristi’s definition of a day at The Skin Bar? “You will walk in the door being greeted by our receptionist offering you a beverage and maybe you’ll sit in a massage chair before your appointment. You will get a treatment tailored to your specific needs, and leave feeling refreshed and renewed.” And I will certainly add…you will surely want to book your next appointment before leaving!
