For Justin McCauley, managing daily operations of McCauley Services and giving back to the community is truly a family affair. “My father started the business in 1983 in Hot Springs. In 1990 we moved to Benton and he opened a new branch here. We have been growing ever since. My father always taught me that it is important to give back to the communities in which you live and work. We are extremely blessed by God and supported by our community, so anything we can do to give back and make it better for the next generation is the right thing to do.”
Justin presently serves as Chairman of the Board for Saline Memorial Health Foundation, as well as on the board of the Benton Chamber of Commerce and previously on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity. He is also involved in Kiwanis Club of Saline County. As a company, McCauley Services generously supports Boys and Girls Clubs. “We donate pest services to all the local Boys and Girls Clubs, if they will allow us, and for any new customer that signs up for our reoccurring services, we donate ten dollars to their neighboring Boys and Girls Club.”
Justin’s personal commitment to the community and to serving others permeates throughout the entire organization. “McCauley Services has four words we live by: Professional, Trustworthy, Knowledgeable and Caring. We encourage our co-workers to get involved in the communities in which they work. So if a co-worker comes and says a cause is really important to them, then we encourage them to become involved and find ways to support that cause. This is ingrained in our culture. This is who we are.”
Justin’s experiences in making a difference in Saline County has allowed him to see just how great we are as a community. “Through my involvement I have learned that we live in an awesome community. Granted, there is still a lot to be done, but we have so many people that will donate their time or money to help a worthy cause and that just speaks volumes to me about the character of Saline County. Serving gives me a sense of fulfillment to be able to lend a hand and share some of my family’s blessings with people who have helped us so much throughout the years.”
Justin’s advice if you’re considering volunteering? “Find something that you are passionate about. The best way to do that if you don’t know is through one of the awesome non-profits we have in our county. If you’re not comfortable reaching out to them, get involved in Kiwanis or Rotary or some other civic group and they can help give you some direction.”
