My wife, Crystal and I got married on June 4th, 2011. Even twelve years later, I still remember the grueling process of locking in the location we loved. We toured an array of options and styles, from stunning barns to chic ballrooms. We even entertained the idea of a destination wedding at a beautiful beach.
It’s true for some couples that when you find the one, you just know it! That’s what happened when we found our “venue with a view” that was close to home yet felt like another world. Its classically rustic setting provided the perfect ambience for our elegant outdoor wedding. It featured acres of stunning property and a handcrafted log lodge and the natural beauty of Pinnacle Mountain provided an unforgettable backdrop. After the ceremony we wasted little time getting to the celebrating. Down one level stood beautifully decorated tables, set up next to an infinity pool and rock waterfall. As we ate, the upper porch transformed into a sunset dance party that could have rivaled an episode of Soul Train.
Of course, although the location was lovely, to say the weather was warm would be an understatement. With the temperature that day hitting triple digit degrees, tears of joy weren’t the only waterworks streaming down our faces. But that’s Arkansas, and that’s enough about me: let’s just focus on the perfect venue for your wedding day.
Picking a wedding venue is a big deal. It’s expensive. It sets the tone. It’s the meat in the wedding sandwich, if you will. It can also be an incredibly overwhelming process. Choosing a venue for a wedding plays a vital role in the success of your day and is undoubtedly one of the biggest planning decisions you’ll make.
