T’is the month before Christmas, across Saline County;
Our hearts, like the stores, are full of great bounty.
The lights have been hung ’round the courthouse with care,
And great throngs of people come witness them there.
My take on this poem details this edition
And serves to kickstart your best yuletide traditions.
While locally shopping helps shirk busy malls,
We ha ve no solution for crazy in-laws.
The children are dreaming about Christmas break,
Yet financial worries keep parents awake.
Our “Elves of Saline” have come out just in time
To help show you your shopping needs will be fine!
Those summertime shoppers have all their gifts bought,
But the last-minute folks, I am certain, do not.
Our gift ideas ranging from a lot to a little
Might help you solve some of your Christmas list riddles.
We’ve parties to attend and we’ve cookies to bake,
We’ve carols to sing, and Christmas cards to make.
Then, our kids all abed, we’ll wrap gifts late at night—
It’s worth it to see our kids’ smiles shine bright.
Don’t let holiday stress rob your heart of its joy,
For Christmas is more than just presents and toys.
They say that it’s better to give than receive;
The true meaning of Christmas is first to believe.
I hope this joyful season gives you time to read
’Cause this issue of Lifestyles has just what you need.
From all of our team (elves or not)at Ignite,
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
